DECIUS DOOM:
We pride ourselves in originality and theatrics with a major inclination towards politics and religion. We have a modest following through the United States, the United Kingdom and parts of Europe [especially Deutschland], Canada, Mexico, Asia and the Middle East. We are a band with a very bloody history with an extensive recording collection. Our last record, entitled " Dying in my Dreams " has given us a burgeoning degree of exposure and publicity including an upcoming interview with Hollywood Music Television in Canada and an entire chapter devoted to us in the upcoming Mick Mercer book, [Mick Mercer, the authority of underground subculture] due out in stores worldwide February of 2009.
CURRENT MEMBERS:
Decius Doom: Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Piano & Keyboards D.W. Kane: Guitars, Bass, Backing Vocals Xavier Mastermind: Synths & Keyboards, Samples
Needless to say, Decius is the founding member, with Kane and Xavier joining the ranks of membership within the last few months. We just recently parted company with our drummer Pantheas Pancreas due to a creative conflict - he couldn't handle the regular sexual and satanic elements with surround ourselves with. Pantheas is just the latest edition to our long list of " previous members. "
EXPECTATIONS:
We need to practice at least once a week, twice or more is preferred and you need to be prepared to make the band a serious priority in your life. There is a copious amount of material we need to "adapt" for performances but there will be plenty of opportunity to be creative and inventive, with previous material and the construction of new material equally. You have to be accepting of Satanic [and Anti-Christian] content, lyrics and imagery - left, extremist politics - strong sexual content, obscenities and vulgarity. We pride ourselves on our theatrics and our intelligence. You must be at least 18 years of age and be accepting of most alternative lifestyles. We are open to any genders and races.
We do not have the most "pro" of equipment but we work fantastically well with what we have and we're always evolving our arsenal.
Our greatest musical influences include:
Old Marilyn Manson [Spooky Kids era], Cradle of Filth, Type O Negative, Ministry, Slayer & Metallica, K.M.F.D.M. and Rammstein - to name a few out of hundreds.
FOR OUR DRUMMER:
We exhibited our need for a "crushing" drummer and that it truly a priority, we need someone who can deliver rhythmic, hypnotic percussion and can ride the double-bass pedal to no end ... when it's required, not constant. Our biggest percussion influences include The Doors, Mr. Bungle, K.M.F.D.M., Rammstein and Ministry
FOR OUR BASSIST:
Majority of the bass parts are in tune and harmonized with the guitars, giving a much more powerful and foreboding, ominous sound. Because of this, most of the bass parts are considered quite "simple" - hell, you probably wouldn't even need the 1st and 2nd strings during performances. We encourage any season of player to consider this role, from moderate/beginner and upwards. Our biggest bass influences include Marilyn Manson and Metallica
