| Detailed description of project: |
I'm in a band that's looking for a rhythm guitar, but anybody may apply! Looking for everything!
The recording is just something sent from my cell, a riff I've been working on. Gives you more of an idea what we want to play. Lots of guitar, distorted sound.
So, here's the deal: I'm sick of all the losers around here who honestly can't play. Or maybe your excuse is "I don't have an instrument yet..but I can play!" or "I can't make practices..I'm with my girlfriend or doing chores". Whatever happened to the band comes first? It seems that values in bands today are down the drain with the economy (figures!). So, why don't you give me a shout out? Any kind of music, doesn't matter, we'll talk. I'm looking at any rock base right now, I can write and play songs (I play guitar) for clean or screaming vocals. Anything from alternative to metal, hardcore and punk. We're all in the middle of Missouri (is it a wonder it's pronounced "misery"?), so you don't have all the Jersey fellas with their ripped jeans walking around at the park asking you if you're in a band. Missouri really seems to suck sometimes, doesn't it? So, what are you waiting for? We're all sitting ducks here looking for a band. It seems like nobody out there is dedicated. It's either you've got no skill, no dedication (or no instrument?), or no time these days. Come on and prove me wrong. Let's get a band started up in the MO that might actually GO somewhere and not become a sitting mallard in a broiling pot. I'm 16 years old/young (for both you pessimists and optimists) and I'm not going anywhere. Parental issues, but I'll only be moving somewhere in good old St. Charles (*cough* originally from Cali..). I've been playing for 5 years; that's probably an underestimate, I won't lie like some of you punks to make a band resume sound good. I've got my own amp and guitar (travel amp- Roland- but it works. We can get more amps if need be) and a 6-track mixing board. I have 2 mics and one stand. Anything you play, give me a shout out. Play the bagpipes? Why the hell not? I just want some kids to jam with. If you're 69, I don't care, just send a message. I'd prefer to play with 15-19 year olds, but you can't be too picky, eh? Anyone, come on. This site seems to be a bit dull in the Missouri category. Let's get some kids talking? (The other girl is my amazing friend Maddy who is an awesome singer, but unfortunately, very shy! Love her, hadda make sure she got creds!) Text/call? 314.332.0758 Email? Jalyssa93@yahoo.com Fair winds to all you h4rdc0r3 and punk-like rockers, yeah yeah? -Jalyssa |

Hey there,
I just saw your audition notice and read your rant. I am not interested in joining your band but I could help you out in getting started. When I was your age, I started playing with guys I met in school band. We stayed together through college and did it pretty big time. Check out the link to the band I was in. Anyway, that's how we got started. If you are really interested in music, you should check out your highschool band. I bet you a 20 you will find several people in there that will put the band first. Good luck
